Righteo it's time for....

an update.

Why so long? Of course there's a billion excuses but really I can't find the charger for the camera. So you'll have to endure some very dodgy pics until the missing part is located. We haven't done much to the Pink House, other than in the garden where there have been enormous amounts of work. Many of our efforts have failed in the face of heatwave and of course going away camping is not what you do if you want seedlings to thrive. Nonetheless we are trialling some biodynamic methods, including lunar gardening which is a bit of fun, and hopefully will result in a far more productive garden.

Some pics of our first tree planting. This was very exciting for me as it finally dawned on both of us that this is a large project that will bring many new adventures. It's an orange tree for those interested. It was supposed to be a blood orange and I've had quite a bit of fruit from it in the 4 years that it has been potted but last season the oranges were not blood. We'll find out in the next few months what type of orange it is as I'm sure I can remember the birds eating the first lot of blood oranges.

Here is the orange tree's new home. We've chosen it as hopefully it will suit the new garden layout. This is the rear of the shed. To the right is an old style outdoor lav but we can't find the plumbing yet. We're hoping to put a loo in there and have it as our "poo room".

But first to dig a hole for it. Of course Buster dug the hole and I supervised...

There was quite a bit of work involved in this as it was pot bound and required removal from it's home of over four years. Buster extricated the tree from the pot and I supervised...

I'm sure you'll agree that it was my supervision that got this one in the ground.

Well done Buster - it's our first tree! Hopefully it will grow big and strong.
