Last week

A quick catch up on what's been happening...

The pink house was last renovated in the 40s and as much as we love P&O style moulding, it had to go.

That's Dave hard at work removing the awning above the second bedroom window. The heritage glass is nicely protected by our yet to be repaired side gate and some plywood from a wardrobe we've removed.

Here's the end result. I'm just sorry I didn't get before pics. As you can see I'm not a photographer and am using an old Sony Cybershot point and shoot. With a shaky hand.

The shake is the result of nervousness related to our budget:)

How about this lovely meter cover that was built for us?

Now that the awning has been removed, it needed to be protected from water. So Charlie put up a stylin' cover.

I'm pretty impressed by how neat the end result is. I was fearful that the front render might crack or fall off, Money Pit style. I really must stop expecting the worst...

The builders also managed to tidy up as they went and by the end of the day, not only did the front look a whole lot better, but it was cleaner than before they started.

We love clean tradies!
